Dr. Kevin Horner (Retired)
After more than 40 years of serving the Sioux Falls community, Dr. Kevin Horner has retired from active orthodontic practice. While he is no longer seeing patients, his legacy lives on through the practice he built and the doctors he mentored.
A native of Hudson, South Dakota, Dr. Horner began practicing orthodontics in Sioux Falls in 1984 after earning his dental degree from Creighton University and his orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science in Orthodontics from Saint Louis University.
In 2011, he had the privilege of welcoming his daughter, Dr. Keri Barrow, into practice, helping create a seamless transition of care built on shared values and a commitment to excellence. Today, that tradition continues through Dr. Barrow and Dr. Witte, who proudly carry forward a legacy of smiles through the same personalized, high-quality orthodontic care patients have trusted for generations.
Dr. Horner is a board-certified orthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Throughout his career, he was highly involved in organized dentistry and orthodontics, serving in numerous leadership roles at the state, regional, and national levels.
Although retired from practicing, Dr. Horner remains an important part of our practice story, and we are proud to continue the standard of care he established.
Outside the office, Dr. Horner enjoys spending time with his wife, Susan, their three daughters, three sons-in-law, and nine grandchildren, as well as traveling, lake time, and hunting.
